UAWiFi - Updating Your Password


This article explains how to update your UAWiFi password after you reset your NetID password.

iOS

  1. Open the Settings app on your device. 
  2. Tap Wi-Fi in the menu.
  3. Find and tap on UAWiFi, then tap Forget This Network (or Forget Network on some devices). This will remove the saved connection details.
  4. Return to the list of available networks and tap UAWiFi.
  5. Log in with your NetID and new password.
  6. If prompted with a certificate warning, tap Trust.
Windows 10 & 11

Windows 10 & 11

  1. Press Win+I to open the Settings app. Select Network & Internet and click on "Wi-Fi" in the left panel. Click on Manage known networks.
  2. Under Manage Known Networks, select UAWiFi and click on Forget. This will delete your Wireless Network profile and connection details.
  3. From the list of available networks, choose UAWiFi and log in with your NetID and new password.
macOS 10.9 & Higher

macOS 10.9 & Higher

  1. Open Keychain Access
    1. Search for and open the Keychain Access app.
  2. Delete any login items you might find after doing the following:
    1. Type UAWifi in the search box while in the Keychain Access application.
    2. Type uawireless.arizona.edu in the search box.
    3. Type catnet.arizona.edu in the search box.
  3. Remove the Wi-Fi Network from Your System
    1. Go to System Preferences > Network.
    2. Select Wi-Fi, then click Advanced…
    3. In the list of Preferred Networks, find UAWiFi, select it, and click the minus [-] button.
    4. Click OK to apply the changes.
  4. Reconnect to UAWiFi
    1. Turn Wi-Fi off and back on.
    2. Select UAWiFi from the list of available networks.
    3. When prompted, enter your NetID and current password.
    4. If a certificate prompt appears, verify that it is issued by uawireless.arizona.edu.
    5. If correct, choose Always Trust and continue.

    Settings > Wi-Fi > Tap on UAWiFi > Select Forget This Network
  • Androids
    Settings > Tap on Connections or Wi-Fi & Network > Tap on UAWiFi > Select Forget
  • Windows
    Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks > Select UAWiFi > Click Forget
  • MacOS
    System Preferences > WiFi > Advanced > Select UAWiFi > Click on the minus (-) button to forget the UAWiFi
